Using their home-based studio hidden within the remote mountain village of El Valle, New Mexico, the husband/wife furniture design duo Ray and Nancy Buechley created a charming furniture collection which includes dinning tables, consoles, rockers and chairs. They lately sent us some good info and photos about these inspiring twisted coffee table bases, which were pleased to share further: Both art majors attending college Ray concentrating on sculpture, Nancy on painting the 2 found themselves progressively attracted to furniture construction and designs.

Some pieces of furniture are built for form and others are built for function. Then again others are built for novelty, but novelty doesn’t always have to be a negative or cheap word. Novelty items can definitely bring a lot to the table especially if they can offer something that is new and fresh as well as useful at the same time. This table that has been designed by UK designer Tom Gottelier definitely features something that is not often seen amongst permanent furniture – melting. I am totally awe struck by the work of Filip Janssens. What an amazing mind one would have to have in order to conceptualize and build these intricate storage and organization solutions.
