holy cow, wow. i just stumbled across Bird and Bear, the etsy shop of Brooklyn artist Joetta Maue, and her abundance of beautiful and completely unique hand embroidery blew my socks off. i totally fell for these re-purposed, hand embroidered works of art, all of which are created on one of a kind vintage linens, like hankies and tablecloths.

Joette also accepts commissions for custom images for embroidered portraits, and custom text orders are welcome, as well. I can see these pieces being amazing and very personal housewarming, baby shower or wedding gifts.
