Free Tickets to Chicago Flower & Garden Show 2011

It may not seem like it out there but spring is on the way. The 17th annual Chicago Flower & Garden Show will return to Navy Pier on Saturday, March 5, through Sunday, March 13. This year’s theme is “The Sport of Gardening,” and will highlight some of the top Midwest landscapers, growers and garden designers. There’s more than 100 garden seminars & workshops, a Marketplace, potting parties, table scapes and the presentation of the Horticulture Competitions winners in collaboration with the Chicago Botanic Garden. Plus, the people. The best part of the show, in my opinion, is meeting with friends and family and taking in the show together. The Chicago Flower & Garden Show and Culloton Strategies are giving me free tickets to the show to give away to you!

We’re giving away 10 pairs of tickets with three ways of participating in the random drawings. You can leave a comment here on this post and tell me how you think “The Sport of Gardening” will be interpreted. The Hawks, Bears and Cubs are somehow involved, but they’re not giving away more than that. If you’re not a gardener, but a Chicago sport nut, is the “sport” theme likely to draw you to the show?
Or, If you’re a Twitter member you can retweet of mine. You do NOT have to follow me on Twitter to be considered for the random drawing. Use Twitter’s native retweet button at the bottom of the tweet.
Also, The Marketplace at the Chicago Flower & Garden Show is a great opportunity to pick up some plants and seeds. This year the D. Landreth Seed Company will be back and it will be a good opportunity to buy some heirloom seeds for your garden. I’m really looking forward to picking up some seed potatoes like I did last year. Comment on this post on my Facebook page and tell me what you’re looking forward to buying for your garden? Cacti & succulents? Bulbs from the Dutch bulb sellers? Herbs? Garden art?
You have three ways of winning a pair of free tickets. Up your chances of winning by teaming up with a friend and each of you entering. I’ll contact the winners of the free tickets to the Chicago Flower & Garden Show on Tuesday, February 22nd with instructions on how to claim your free tickets to the 2011 show. Good luck- I’ll see you at the show. The Chicago Flower & Garden Show runs March 5, through Sunday, March 13, 2011.
