Make your own Back Scrubber
Colorful terry cloth can be used to make many bath items. A terry cloth back scrubber is a cinch to make and you will enjoy it for years to come. Make one to keep and one to give.
Materials for two back scrubbers:
1 yard terry cloth thread 1 yard of sturdy, washable cotton cord
Cut two pieces of terry cloth 23 inches long and seven inches wide. Hem each piece all the way around with a ¼ inch hem, mitering the corners.
Optional cord handles:
Cut four, 7 inch long lengths of cord. Attach a piece to the ends of each terry cloth back scrubber, forming a handle at each end.
Optional terry cloth handles:
Cut four 7 by 3 inch terry cloth strips. Fold down a ¼ inch all around each strip and press. Now fold each strip in half lengthwise. Sew each strip all the way around, close to the edge.
Next attach the ends of a strip to the end of a terry cloth rectangle, forming a loop handle. Attach the other strips the same way.
